Dean Eric Sharp was born at the Hustisford, Wisconsin, hospital on July 26, 1951, and spent his earliest year at his home behind the Cambridge Clinic, where his father, Dr. Virgil LeRoy and his mother, Lorraine Alice(Hjerstedt) Sharp managed the village's osteopahic medical needs. His family moved to West Allis, where Dean Eric attended Kindergarten atthe Bob La Follette School. He kater attended the Hales Corners Elementary School and was graduated from Junior High School from Saint John's M.A. in Delafield, WI and high school at A.D. Johnston H.S. in Bessemer, Michigan. He received his B.A. in Eglish literature and the newspaper business, film criticism and was a founding member of the Ski Racing Club at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
Sharp has worked as a staff writer, editor and sustainability and environmental beat reporter for the Ironwood Daily Globe, The County Journal (weekly), BusinessNorth in Duluth, Minnesota. He has ghost-writte and freelanced for several newspapers (The Rocky Mountain News, magazines and (Focus on Denver) and book publishers and owns Sharp Tongue Press and is the emeritus publisher for WorldWord (formerly the World Alliance of Word Affiliates).
